This fabulous showpiece features a mystic cherub with fish's tail legs, whom supports the bottle-holder high, proudly. This WMF Wine Bottle Stand's main attraction is not only an adorable cherub, but also the gorgeous ornamentation on the pedestal stand. Exotic dragon clad feet with scrolling design, is sure to get attention. The removable bottle-holder has a large, ornate centralised cartouche and Rococo style scrolling decoration. Excellent condition.
Hallmarked 4 WMF marks, that of during 1890-1900 period (M and F ware jointed together). "I/O" mark, indicates Normal thickness of gilding or silver-plating. WMF's flower mark. "zg" mark for fancy gilt.
