Offered for your consideration is this lovely Pair of Antique French Sterling Silver & Ebony Fruits/Dessert Knives, dated back 1809-1819. Each knife has extremely elegant design with sterling silver blade and ferrules - not exactly the same but very similar in pattern. The wooden handles are ebony, finely embellished with silver (one is gold-plated) shield shaped cartouches, hand engraved initials "E" and "CL" is proudly presented.
Hallmarked French "Coq" Rooster mark, used between 1809-1819. Guarantee mark of Department (outside of Paris.) Maker's mark we could not identify. "E" knife bears Boar's head mark, probably re-controlled on public auction after 1838.

Excellent Estate Condition with normal sign of light use. A short hairline crack on back of "E" knife to note (age-appropriate and very minor). Otherwise in truly an excellent shape as its age. Please refer the detail photos I added.
