This is a Pair of 2 matching pieces in handy and versatile size of 6.1"/15.5cm long. The design is most elegant and highly sought after Art Nouveau Iris pattern, thoroughly decorated with hand-engraving, acid-chasing, and raised Iris in naturalistic yet thoughtful composition. It has gorgeous partial Vermeil finish on the surface (gold-washed over sterling silver.) Free from personalisation.
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Emile Puiforcat. The Maison Puiforcat was established on 1857 at 18, then 16 rue Chapon in Paris. Emile died in 1883 and his successors maintained the same maker's mark, flourished to the one of the most renown Parisian silversmith till today.
