OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION is this very beautiful Pair of Antique French Sterling Silver & Crystal Wine Decanters, finely crafted by prestigious Parisian master silversmith Olier & Caron, active 1910-1939. The design is in gorgeous Rococo revival style, richly embellished with Rocaille scallop border and scroll in sophisticated composition. The crystal body has elegant spiral line decoration. The interior of sterling silver mount has Vermeil gilt (gold-washed over sterling silver) finish. Excellent condition. Circa 1910.

Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark on each silver part, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of OC for Olier & Caron, 39 rue de Turbigo, Paris, active 1910-1936, successors of the house of Henri Soufflot (1884-1910).

Measurements & Condition

Each decanter measures 11.6 inch (29.5 cm) tall x 7.1 inch (18 cm) wide from spout to handle, 4.7 inch (12 cm) diameter. Weight 30.9 ounces (878 grams) each.
Each decanter can contain approx. 26.4 fluid ounces (0.78 litre) of liquid.

Excellent Estate Condition with trace of minor use. Some age-related light scratch marks and a small dent on one of the decanter's pedestal foot. Otherwise in quite excellent shape and ready for use. The Vermeil gilt finish is still vivid and richly presented.
