Painting is in excellent estate condition. Frame has few minor dents on the back - please refer the detail photos I added.
Bernard Dufour (1922-2016) was a notable French painter, known for his abstract painting after the Second World War, and later for portraits and human figures. He collaborated with many of avant garde writers, including René de Solier, André Pieyre de Mondiargues, Georges Lambrichs, Paul Thévenin and Alain Jouffroy. Le Belle Boisseuse, Jacques Rivette's 1991 film, was partly inspired by Dufour, who was credited as "the hand of the artist" painting the picture at the film.
