Offered for your consideration is this rare Early 20th Century Imperial Russian Solid 84 Silver & Enamel Cloisonné Kovsh by 11th Artel, of beautiful traditional form with raised prow and scroll handle. The Kovsh is fabulously decorated with the mixture of various multi-coloured polychrome and translucent enamel among the ornate pattern of wirework.
Hallmarked Russian silver mark of 84 zolotnick, which corresponds to 875/1000 purity solid silver, used in 1908-1917. There is also silver mark of 1927-1958, probably re-controlled for public auction. Master maker's mark of 11th Artel. French importation control mark of Swan.
