Offered for your consideration is this beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter or Tea Strainer in excellent condition. It wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity, having a delightful size of 8.2" (21 cm) long. The handle is finely contoured and embellished with Neo-Classical or Baroque style adornments. A gorgeous hand-engraved monogram EEB with intricate interlaced letters. The bowl is large and deep, having delicate foliage motif piercing. Excellent condition and ready to grace your table.
Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 mark (twice,) which guarantees .950 purity solid sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. Maker's mark of French silversmith in diamond shape, probably of Théophile Bravou, active 1888- (date of the mark struck-off is unknown.)
