Delighted to have for sale this very beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver Sugar Bowl by Paul Bouton & Cie, active 1896-1904. This turn-of-the-Century Serving Bowl is wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity. The decoration is in gorgeous Rococo style revival, featuring Rocaille scallop border and acanthus motifs in naturalistic order, standing on a casted pedestal foot. The side handles are vine leaf shape with magnificent details, curling into circle to create lovely handles. This Sugar Bowl is extremely versatile, and would make a stunning addition to both traditional and modern table settings. Excellent estate condition and ready to grace your table.



Hallmarked 1. French Minerva No.1 Mark, which guaranteed 950/1000 purity sterling silver (higher than standard 925 sterling) used in Paris since 1838. 2. Maker's mark of Paul Bouton & iCe, active in Paris 1896-1904.
