THIS IS A VERY beautiful, handsome and useful Antique French Sterling Silver Salad Server Set of two pieces in its presentation box. The Set consists of Salad Serving Fork and Salad Serving Spoon, both having a delightful size of 27.5 cm/10.8 inch long. The design to the handle is classic and elegant French Second Empire era style, featuring foliage motifs accents with a large oval cartouche on the end. It bears hand-engraved monogram AA. The presentation box has light blue silk liner, open/close system works perfectly.

Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Philippe Berthier, established at 23 rue aux Ours, Paris, in 1841, them moved to 62 passage Beaufort and finally to 21 rue Quincampoix. The mark presented here is his second mark, registered on 1847. He later succeeded by another renown Parisian maker Alphonse Debain.

Very Good Estate Condition with minor sign of light use. Some age-related light scratch marks and dimple-like micro dents here and there. Please refer the detail photos I added.
