Delighted to have for sale this very handsome Antique French Sterling Silver Napkin Ring in very good condition. This beautiful Napkin Ring has elegant curvy shape, gorgeously embellished with raised gallon rims and a large Rococo style cartouche. Hand-engraved monogram, probably BC, with delicate interlaced letters. The surface is finely decorated with Guilloche style engine-turned engraving, featuring exotic wavy stripes.
Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 mark, which guaranteed 950/1000 purity sterling silver used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the highest silver contents, purer than standard 925 sterling silver. We could not find maker's stamp.
Measurements & Condition
2 1/8 inch (5.3 cm) diameter x 1 1/2 inch (3.7 cm) wide. Weight 1.12 oz (31.8 grams)
Very Good Estate Condition. Few small dents (mainly from inside) on the edge to note. Otherwise in excellent shape, less than usual age-related right scratch marks. Please refer the detail photos we added.
