THIS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Antique French Sterling Silver Wine Decanter is presented here for your consideration. It finely crafted by renown skilful Parisian silversmith Tétard Frères, 1903-1930s.

The decoration is in ornate Neo Classical, Louis XVI style revival, featuring magnificent array of ornamentation including foliage motifs and geometrical borders, graced by figural lady's bust on the top of the handle. A very elegant garlic-shaped crystal body. This Wine Decanter is great for use but also a fabulous showpiece. Excellent condition.

Hallmarked 1. French Minerva No.1 mark on each part, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the finest quality sterling silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. 2.Maker's mark of Tétard Frères, 4 rue Béranger. They succeeded business from Edmond Tétard (active 1880-1903), specialised in fashionable hollowware, rather than flatware. The Maison Tétard received a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889 in Paris.

A special find for you! Don't miss out!
