OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION is this truly lovely Antique French Sterling Silver & Crystal Spirit Flask with beautiful Guilloche engine-turned engraving decoration in Napoleon III era, also known as Second Empire, style. This type of Guilloche pattern was very popular in late 19C to early 20C. The Crystal Body has elegant hand etched foliage swag on faceted surface. It completed with 4 parts: Crystal bottle with sterling silver rim cover, cut crystal stopper, sterling silver cap and sterling silver bottom cover/removable cup.
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark on each part, which guaranteed .950 purity solid sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. Maker's mark of Albert Schiffmacher at 37 rue de Montmorency in Paris, circa 1912.
