A VERY BEAUTIFUL and large Antique French Sterling Silver Bonbon Serving Bowl, Bonbonnier, or Sauce Boat in excellent condition for your consideration.

This beautiful Bonbonnier is wholly made of the finest quality solid Sterling Silver .950 purity, consists of deep bowl with two side handles, domed lid and oval shaped serving dish. The decoration is in gorgeous Neo-Classical Style Rococo revival, finely embellished with scroll borders on boldly beautiful gadroon body, accented by floral. The uniquely twisted cast handles on the sides of bowl and top of lid. The under plate is securely attached to the pedestal base (removable, for cleaning purpose.)

This Bonbonnier is great for use but also a fabulous piece for display - with its modernist shape, it would make a stunning addition to both traditional and modern interior. Excellent condition.

Hallmarked 1. French Minerva No.1 mark on each pieces, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the finest quality sterling silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. We could not find the maker's mark on this fabulous piece - though we are absolutely sure that this is a work of very skilful master silversmith.

A special find for you. Don't miss out!
