DELIGHTED TO HAVE for sale this beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver Tea / Coffee Cup & Saucer Set by Edmond Molle, a skilful Parisian silversmith active 1898 till 1919. The Cup and Saucer are both wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver, having elegant Art Nouveau style decoration all over.
The Cup and Saucer has classic Art Nouveau style raised pattern. The casted handle has matching decoration with intricate piercing and hand-engraving. The interior of the Cup has gorgeous Vermeil gilt (gold-washed over sterling silver) finish. The set remains free from any form of personalisation, and in excellent condition.
Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 mark on each piece, which guarantees .950 purity of sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the most high quality silver standard, purer then .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark is that of Edmond Molle, active 1898-1919, Paris.
