A very beautiful and rare Antique French Sterling Silver & Porcelain Chocolate Pot by silversmith Amédée Gravion, active in Paris 1902-1933. The gilt sterling silver mounts have gorgeous Rococo style revival Rocaille scallop border and scrolls, partly fluted, accented with hand-chased and embossed floral motifs in Art Nouveau influence.

The porcelain body has lovely and colourful floral painting with great detail in playful composition. The lower part is nicely embellished with hand-painted gold band pattern. Although we could not find signature on porcelain, we assume it probably was a work of Sèrvres.

The pot comes with its original wooden swizzle stick.

Excellent condition.

Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 marks on each silver parts, which guarantees .950 purity solid sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. Maker's mark of Amédée Gravion, active 1902-1933 - Paris.
