OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION is this very beautiful Antique French Gilt Solid Silver Strawberry Server Set of complete 2 pieces, nicely housing in its original presentation box. The Set includes Sugar Sifter and Strawberry/Fruit Server - made of solid silver (not silver-plated) and having gorgeous Vermeil (gold-washed) finish on the surface. The design is in elegant A La Russé Russian style thin stem handle, embellished with raised mascaron face, hand-engraving, acanthus ornamentation and oval cartouche.

It comes with original presentation case, lined with cream white silk and wine red velvet. Marked retailer's sign "BRANDON & FILS H.Jourdan Succ., 12 Rue de la Loge, Montpellier" on the silk. Open/close notch works perfectly.

Hallmarked 1. French Boar's Head mark on each piece, which guaranteed solid silver at least .800 purity, for small silver objects, used in Paris since 1838. 2. Maker's mark of Henri Gabert, 112 rue de Turenne, Paris, active between 1882-1901.
