THIS IS A magnificent Antique French Sterling Silver Open Salt Cellar Set of 4 pieces, made by Jean-Pierre Nicolas Bibron, active in Paris between 1798-1809. Each piece consist of sterling silver holder, removable hand-cut crystal inner, and a serving spoons. The holder has gorgeous ancient Roman style lady's bust, pierced palmetto border and lion's paws feet. It has very sharp and well-defined detail. The crystal inner dishes are classic, thick and heavy, removable for your easy maintenance. It comes with 4 serving spoons - not original but perfect size, having lovely Cherub decoration on the handle.

A surviver of France's long nineteenth century; created in French First Republic era to Napoleon I's dynamic historical period. Hallmarked the French "Coq" Rooster No.1 mark, which guarantees .950 purity of sterling silver, used in Paris between 1798-1809. This is one of the most high quality silver standard, purer then .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark is that of Jean-Pierre Nicolas Bibron, 3 rue Harlay, active 1798-1809. Guarantee mark of City of Paris. Boar's head mark, probably obtained it when it passed an auction. "ET" mark on spoons, used in France since 1893.

Excellent Estate Condition with minor sign of light use. As a set of well over 200 years old, it is in surprisingly good condition with all original crystal inner. Please refer the detail photos I added.
