THIS FABULOUS ANTIQUE French Solid Silver Baby Rattle with Whistle has elegant MOP (Mother of Pearl) handle. The Rattle has intricate baluster shape, finely decorated with hand-engraved floral pattern with panel borders, complimented with four little exterior bells. On the tip there is whistle feature and a hoop to attach a chain. The Rattle and whistle works perfectly. A great and unique Christening/Baptism gift idea, a quality piece that will became an asset for the child in future.
Hallmarked French Boar's Head mark (twice), which guaranteed at least .800 purity solid silver, used in Paris since 1838 for small silver object or jewellery. There is also a silversmith's manufacturer mark, but we could not identified.
