Delighted to have for sale this fabulous Late 19C Imperial Russian Solid 84 Silver Niello Pill Case or Snuff/Jewellery/Trinket Box with beautiful Niello decoration on both sides. It has lovely oval shape with domed lid and bottom, finely embellished with Niello foliage scroll pattern and Cyrillic inscription. The open/close hinge is uniquely situated in interior of the case (under the lid: see the detail photo to check how it opens!)
Hallmarked Russian 84 silver guarantee mark, which corresponds to 84 zolotnik, 875/1000 purity solid silver. Silver assayer mark of Novocherkassk, used around 1844-1880. French importation control mark "Swan" (twice)

Very Good Estate Condition with minor sign of light use. The lid is slightly loose (you should push hard to close it properly.) There are some dimple-like small dents here and there. Please refer the detail photos I added.
