Delighted to be able to offer this very beautiful and rare Late 19th Century Imperial Russian Solid 84 Silver & Enamel Cloisonné Cigarette Case or Pill/Snuff Box. The Cigarette Case is fabulously decorated with the mixture of various multi-coloured polychrome and translucent enamel among the ornate pattern of wirework. The decor includes classic foliage scrolls, fine dots and borders, masterfully embellished with hand-painted details. The case opens vertically, which is quite rare.
Hallmarked Russian silver mark of 84 kokoshnik, which corresponds to 875/1000 purity solid silver, used since 1896. Maker's mark probably "MG".

This beautiful Cigarette Case is in Very Good Estate Condition with some minor loss of decorative enamel here and there. Please refer the detail photos I added. The open/close latch is not perfect (slightly loosened). Otherwise it is in very good shape and it has tremendous collectible value.
