Delighted to have for sale this very rare Imperial Era Antique Russian Solid 84 Silver Money/Charity Bank Box or Tromp L'Oeil with beautiful hand-chased decoration. This fabulous Money Bank is created on 1889, Moscow. It features an octagonal-shaped pump well, completed with two levels of hinged lids. The surface is masterfully engraved the definition of woodgrain's texture. The work is breathtaking - You will appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this fabulous piece! The interior has gorgeous vermeil finish (gold-washed over solid silver).
Hallmarked Russian city mark of Moscow. Assayer mark of Anatatolil Apollonovich Artsibashev, dated 1889. Master maker's mark of Dimtri Aleksandrov Pastukhov, whom worked for prestigious Carl Fabergé as well.

This gorgeous Imperial Russian Money Bank is in Excellent Estate Condition with minor sign of light use. The open/close clasp was broken, but a skillful Parisian silversmith fixed it and now in a perfect condition (see the additional photos I added.) The gilt finish on interior is in good condition and still richly presented. The lids are in excellent shape, opens and closes securely. Please refer the detail photos I added.
