OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION is this fabulous Antique French Sterling Silver Tea/Coffee Pot & Sugar Bowl Set with elegant Guilloché engine-turned engraving decoration on the surface. The set is wholly made of finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity (purer than standard .925 sterling) and weighs heavy 912 grams in total. Gorgeous Neo-Classical ornamentation applied to the handles, feet and spout. Both pieces bears hand-engraved round cartouche with initial SP in gothic letters, circled by belt shape frame. One of the main attractions of this fabulous set is casted top figurine finial in a shape of bird, finely chased to create the definition of feathers and rock. Circa 1880-1890.
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 mark on each parts of sugar bowl, which guaranteed 950/1000 purity solid sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the highest quality silver contents, higher than standard 925/1000 sterling. French Swan mark on the Pot - we are not sure why it marked Swan instead of Minerva. Same French maker's mark in diamond shape on both Pot and Sugar Bowl, we could not find the reference.
A special find for you! Don't miss out!
