The Set is wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity. It comprises a tall, pedestal footed caviar (or confiture) server bowl, lid, and 12 matching spoons. All original pieces with appropriate hallmarks. Maker: Tétard Frères.

The design is most opulent and sophisticated Empire style, large palmettos and feuille d'eau pattern borders on smooth surface. The doomed lid has a lovely figural finial on the top, features a chubby cherub holding high a round foliage garland. 12 coffee/tea-sized spoons are all original with matching design to the bowl. It remains green from any form of personalisation.

Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre marks on each part of each piece, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Tétard Frères. The Maison TÉTARD founded by Edmond Tétard in 1880, succeeded the business from Emile Hugo, at 4 rue Béranger in Paris. The workshop became Tétard Frères (Tétard brothers) in 1903, still at same address, their greatest successes in the 1920's and 1930's Art Deco style works.
