This is a very beautiful ANTIQUE GERMAN SOLID SILVER & CRYSTAL WINE DECANTER, finely crafted by Kühn Gebrüder-Schwäbisch Gmünd, the firm established on 1860s.
This gorgeous Wine Decanter or Lemonade Pitcher has unique cone-shaped body, tapering from a wide round base to a top. The top and handle is made of solid silver (not silver-lated,) having elegant Art Nouveau style repoussé decoration thoroughly. The foliage pattern on silver is depicting shelled Macadamia nuts, branch, and leaves, in bold yet thoughtful composition in classical Art Nouveau fashion.
The crystal body has elaborate hand-cutting pattern with a large star-cut on the bottom. Simply breathtaking. Excellent condition and ready to use.
Hallmarked German Moon and Crown Marks and 800 mark, which guaranteed .800 purity solid silver. Maker's mark of master silversmith Kühn Gebrüder-Schwäbisch Gmünd, the firm was established in 1860.
