THIS IS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH STERLING SILVER & CRYSTAL SUGAR CASTER or Shaker, finely crafted by Parisian master silversmith Alfred Hector, active 1881-1913, nicely housing in its original presentation box!

 

The design is most opulent and classic Rococo style, finely embellished with rocaille scallop borders on twist fluted body. It stands on a lovely round pedestal feet. The crystal body has unique shape with matching twist fluted decoration. The removable cap is nicely pierced for sprinkle sugar, and having especially adorable top finial with acanthus leaf motifs.

Hallmarked French Minerva 1st Standard Mark on each part, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. Maker's mark of master silversmith Alfred Hector, active 1881-1913.
