This fabulous Serving Dish Set comprises 3 pieces - each dish measures 9.2" wide, weighs impressively heavy and meticulously decorated. The design is classic, in opulent Rococo style, but the shape is quite unique and unusual. It features rocaille scallop border, scrolling contoured rim, acanthus, and floral accents. Free from any form of personalisation. It's rare to find such quality pieces in this excellent condition, let alone 3 pieces together!
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark on each piece, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. maker's mark of Jean-Baptiste Francois, succeeded by Mr. Lahure, active circa 1900.
