OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION is this very rare, beautifully decorated Antique Venetian/Italian Silver Serving Tray or large Serving Platter, circa 18th Century. This fabulous Serving Tray bears "Zacca" hallmark - Assay office mark of the Republic of Venice, used between 14th to the end of the 18th century. This is a rarity because Venetian silver from this period is hard to find today, and to last that long is quite something. The design is extremely opulent and ornate, as well as sophisticated and elegant. It has curvy oval shape with Repoussé contoured rim embellished with scroll border and acanthus motifs. The edge has stunning hand-engraving works of scrolls on textured background.

It's very decorative in an unimposing way - this particularly attractive Antique Venetian/Italian Silver Serving Tray would make a great addition to your collection. Excellent condition and superb details.

Hallmarked Assay Office Mark "Zacca" of Venetian Republic. "Zacca" (St. Mark lion in Moleca) mark had slightly changing its form from time to time, this one punched round-shaped mark. "800" mark to guarantees 800/1000 purity solid silver.
