This highly decorative Card Tray is wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity, having classic rectangular shape with practical side handles. It features plain rectangular surface with Mistletoe pattern borders, embellished with masterful piercing and chasing finish. The design is in elegant early Art Nouveau style, which becoming popular in late 19C. This lovely size tray is a beautiful, versatile, and excellent accent to any decor.
Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark CM with flower of black nightshade (fleur de morelle), for Charles-Adolphe Morel, jeweller-silversmith at 63 rue Meslay, established in 1854 (date of mark struck-off is unknown.)
