DELIGHTED TO HAVE FOR sale this exceptionally beautiful ANTIQUE FRENCH STERLING SILVER TEA COFFEE SERVICE SET by DEBAIN & FLAMANT, late 19th Century Paris. This fabulous Tea Service Set comprises a tall Coffee or Tea Pot, very large lidded Sugar Bowl, and a creamer jug, completed with silver-plated serving tray by equally talented Parisian silversmith Halphen.

The design is extremely elegant and characteristic Napoleon III era style, embellished with very fine Guilloche engine-turned engraving pattern on smooth surface. All the three pieces stands on round pedestal feet, having uniquely shaped thin handle with acanthus leaf accents, and an intricate hand-engraved monogram CL in an elaborate cartouche.



Hallmarked French Minerva No.1 Titre mark on every part of each pieces, to guarantee .950 purity sterling silver. This is one of the highest quality sterling silver in the world, purer than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark of Debain & Flamant, active 1880-1891, established by Alphonse-Edouard Debain and Louis-Frédéric Flamant. They are the successor of François-Alphonse Debain, 140 rue du Temple, and later succeeded by Alphonse-Edouard Debain's son, Alphonse Debain. The Serving Tray is silver-lated, bears maker's mark of Halphen.
