The Server is thoroughly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity (higher standard than usual .925 sterling), having delightful 11.2 inch (28.5 cm) long. The decoration is in opulent Rococo or Louis XV style, embellished with scrolls, rocaille scallop border and foliage motifs. Beautifully contoured handle bears hand-engraved monogram GC with intricate, interlaced letters. Excellent condition. Hallmarked the French Minerva No.1 mark, which guarantees .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the most pure quality silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. Maker's mark can read "P.Tallios" for Paul Tallios.
