THIS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and very large Antique French Sterling Silver Soup Tureen by renown skilful Parisian silversmith Henri Lapeyre, active 1895-1923, is presented here for your consideration.
This large Tureen includes domed lid and serving plate/dish, all and all wholly made of the finest quality French sterling silver .950 purity. The decoration is in gorgeous Rococo style, fringed with Rocaille scallop border all around, then embellished with casted scroll handles and top finial. The classic double-contoured rim lends an air of sophistication to any table decor. Excellent quality, very thick and heavy sterling silver.
This fabulous Soup or Vegetable Tureen is great for use but also a fabulous piece for display - it would make a stunning addition to your well-appointed table and interior. Excellent condition.
Hallmarked 1. French Minerva No.1 mark, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the finest quality sterling silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. 2. Maker's mark of Henri Lapeyre, 49 rue Meslay in Paris, active 1895-1923.

Tureen: 5.7 inch (14.5 cm) tall x 11 inch (28cm) wide with handles. Contains approx. 1,200 cc of liquid.
Serving Plate: 11 inch (28 cm) diameter.

Excellent Estate Condition with minor sign of normal use. Some age-related light scratch marks and a few tiny dimple-like dents here and there. But overall it is in quite excellent shape. Please refer the detail photos I added.
